A GUIDE TO LED LIGHTING

We at LedLampenDirect know that it is not always easy to find the right lamp. That is why we are happy to help you on your way! At some of our products, you will find different icons that make the search a bit easier. You can see at a glance what specifications the lamp has and what space the LED lamp is suitable for.

Icon dimmableDimmable:

Do you want to dim the LED lamps for extra atmosphere? This icon indicates whether or not the lamps can dim. In addition, with a dimmable LED lamp you can vary well in practical light to the hobby with / eat to dimmed light to relax with. For a nice dimming range without flickering, choose a corresponding LED dimmer. Our LED experts have described this advice for you on the product page of the lamp.

Light colorLight color:

Do you prefer atmospheric light or do you want the light to work on or to the hobby? With this icon, you can see at a glance what color light the LED lamp gives. The light color of LED lighting is shown in Kelvin (K). The higher the number of Kelvin, the colder the light. For atmospheric light, choose an LED lamp around 2700K.

Light angleLight angle:

LED lamps not only have a different light color or wattage, but also a different light angle. For example, choose a wide light angle in the corridor. For example, choose a more focused light beam, around 35 °, in the kitchen. With this narrow beam, the light is more concentrated and you can better see if the food is well cooked, for example. In addition, a more focused bundle is also suitable for highlighting paintings and other objects.

VoltageVoltage:

This icon indicates whether the LED lamp works on 12V, 24V or 230V. You need a transformer for 12V / 24V. Not sure what voltage your lamp works on? You can also see this by the fitting. View our blog about fittings.

IP valueIP value:

If you are going to place the LED lamp in a damp room such as the bathroom or outdoors, it is important that the lamp is also suitable for this. This is indicated by the IP value. This is divided into 2 digits. The first figure has the dust density, the second the protection against moisture. From IP * 4 the lamp is suitable for outside. For example IP54, IP65, and IP68. IP20 is already suitable for living room lighting.

CRICRI color rendering:

The CRI value of an LED lamp indicates how real the colors are represented by the lamp. A high CRI value is important, for example, if you want to highlight a painting or other art object. A CRI value is also important in a showroom or (clothing) store.

  2. I admire what you have done here. I like the part where you say you are doing this to give back but I would assume by all the comments that this is working for you as well. Barn lighting pendants
